Well, I gave the Christmas craft fair here a try. I did so much better than any fair I participated in back home!
After that, I'm not sure if I should try out a market or attempt to sell on Etsy? Or do a combination of both?
What do you like to shop for at craft fairs/markets?
I love to see fashionable jewelry and purses. I WILL be attempting more of the lovely Swoon purse designs, just need to catch up some bills here before I can get the supplies.
I've said it before, Pinterest is my addiction, so many many ideas and projects. If you see something you're too scared to try, ask me and I'll attempt to make it.
Thanks for reading

Will be great to watch myself grow. i love sewing, something i've been doing since i was 12. Too many nights, i've sewed until the sun came up and wondered where the time went =)

a change of scenery
Yes I know I apologize, I've been very quiet for the past year
Last year I was working 2 jobs, 7 days a week, while trying to work on sewing stuff at home. Got me tired...Now we're living in Quesnel, BC. My other half had an opportunity to help run a roofing company.
I have to say I'm quite homesick, we've been here almost 4 months. I have a full time job outside the home, which hardly pays my bills. Not much job opportunity here in this small town except for the mills. I really want to make sewing & creating my job, but I can't seem to sell all this product. Wish I knew what I was doing wrong, or what else I should be doing to get it out there. I have my facebook fanpage, participate in craft fairs, and I have friends that recommend me for orders. Anyone else have some tips on what I should be doing.
I've recently discovered a wonderful purse designer, Alicia @ Swoon. I've ordered four of the patterns, downloaded all her free ones. So far all I've been able to get done is the free Ethel pattern. She was very cute, I wouldn't mind making her again. Just wish I had extra spedning money so I could get a few supplies to try out the other purses.
I've got a few craft fairs the end of this month, I think I'll do pretty good up here, small community and apparently lots of people are into handmade as there aren't many "good" stores besides Walmart (heh heh even that made me want to cry the first time I went in!!)
Ok, well thats all I can think of the write for now, so much has happened over the past year, its hard to know where to begin

not going to quit!
I've been so busy workin two jobs and preparing for the summer craft fair.
Fair was July.6 and I guess between major local events & the GORGEOUS sunshine, not many came out :( So needless to say I have a ton of stock leftover. I've got to figure out how to list on Zibbet, finalllly going to get that baby going!
With regards to this blog, I don't have many followers at all, it's one of my goals to have a HUGE crowd of followers (as in 1000's). I will be researching various tips & trick on blogging to find out what I need to do to draw people in. That's it for now folks

delete or keep?
I'm finding it quite difficult to maintain my Facebook fanpage and remember to blog. Considering I don't have a huge amount of followers, I'm considering deleting my blog and just sticking with the fanpage...thoughts? If you want me to keep the blog, what should I be posting about? I'm still quite clueless as to what I'm supposed to be doing here :(

BIG QUILT, little machine!
Well,
I'm making great progress on this memorial quilt, however I wasn't able to meet my Christmas completion date. I had a craft fair to prep for, another move, and still working full time. I don't know what I was thinking, and I do thank my customer for her patience & understanding.I've run into a big hurdle with this quilt, attempting to shove a queen size quilt into a 4"x4" space, NOT an easy task. I just figured I would blog about it while its fresh in my mind. I came across a great blog with lots of tips, Mama Loves Quilts. I had to do some adjusting to my machine & chair placement.
Most of all, PATIENCE!!! I'm stitching around each small center square of every block, so that involces alot of turning the quilt. Must remember to roll the side that is in that tiny space & to do it neatly so it will go through machine smoothly.
Time when lazy=far too long to quilt a 2"x2" square
Time when rolling quilt=just minutes to quilt a square!!
Thanks Nicole for your tips
Just to give you an idea of machines...
